How to get to my faculty in Cordoba
The Erasmus Cordoba programme, a phenomenon that has revolutionised the educational experience of thousands of European students, offers young university students the opportunity to live a unique experience abroad. However, beyond the classrooms and textbooks, there is one key challenge that every Erasmus student must tackle with dexterity: getting to the faculty from different parts of an unfamiliar city. This seemingly simple act of urban navigation becomes an essential element for academic success and satisfaction in this exciting educational adventure.
Although nowadays we have mobile applications such as GPS with which we can find out how to get there in less than a minute, sometimes this information is somewhat confusing and difficult to interpret. That said, throughout this article we are going to tell you how you can get to each of the UCO departments from the centre and from the Ciudad Jardín area, as these are the two highest points of student concentration in Cordoba.
Universities in Cordoba
FACULTY OF PHILOSOPHY AND LETTERS
(Plaza del Cardenal Salazar, 3)
This University is located in the historic centre of Cordoba, specifically, in the area of the Jewish Quarter, so public transport cannot access this area. We recommend that, whether you live in the centre or in Ciudad Jardín, it is best to walk, as it will take you no more than 10-20 minutes. However, if you don’t feel like walking, and you live in a more distant area, you can take bus lines 2, 5, 6 and 7, and get off at “…”.Glorieta de la Cruz Roja» or «Glorieta de la Media Luna», depending on the direction of the road. From there, you will barely have to walk 5 minutes. More information here.

This university is slightly closer to the centre than to Ciudad Jardín, but still, it is not close to either. From the centre of Cordoba it is usually about a 20 minute walk; but if you live in Ciudad Jardin, it is best to take the bus, unless you want to walk for about 40 minutes. You can take Line 7 at Plaza de la Costa del Solto get there, getting off at “Campo Madre de Dios” on the outward journey and taking the bus for the return journey at the stop “Virgen Milagrosa 2º D.C”.
