May is a very special month in Cordoba, full of life and festivities, when you can enjoy various activities and traditions typical of this beautiful Andalusian city. The first event is<\/span> the Montilla-Moriles Wine Tasting<\/b>, a unique opportunity to taste some of the best wines of the region. It is usually held at the end of April. Music enlivens the celebration in which different wines can be tasted and accompanied by typical tapas of the region, making the experience complete and satisfactory for lovers of good wine and gastronomy.<\/span><\/p>\n

During this time, the people of Cordoba dress up in their gypsy costumes and short dresses and enjoy the fiesta at the El Arenal fairgrounds, where there are stalls for all tastes, from the most traditional to the most modern. The fair begins with the famous “Alumbrado”, a spectacle in which thousands of coloured lights illuminate the streets and stalls of the fair, accompanied by fireworks. Throughout the week, people gather in the “casetas” (“stands”) to dance, sing, eat and drink. There are also many attractions and activities for children.<\/span><\/p>\n
